During the U.S. Open, Mercedes Benz has been playing this amazing new Roger Federer video, and if you look closely, in the beginning he is wearing a modern Rolex sports watch.
I also decided to include this video of Roger Federer taking the SLS for a drive
Shelby Super Cars (SSC) just gave their new 1,350 horse power supercar a name and it is Tuatara. Shelby claims the American made rocket ship is the fastest production car made today, but has yet to release performance numbers. Sure is a cool looking car...
Alright...You know what time it is on Jake's Rolex World!?! That's right...It's time to Tighten Up!!! Click the play button on the song below and stare at this car...If after trying this out one time you still don't get it, that is fine, just rinse and repeat!!!!
It's that time of the year again and it's almost time for the Superbowl!!! This 2011 Mercedes Superbowl commercial is amazing!!!! Especially, with Janis Joplin singing "Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz" in the background...
It is remarkable how similar Mercedes and Rolex are as brands if you think about it. I often say Rolex is the Mercedes of watches, and it is really cool in this video to see Mercedes playing up their amazing heritage. In recent years Rolex has gotten much more into playing up their heritage, and I believe Rolex should delve much deeper into showcasing their amazingly wealthy heritage as their ultimate marketing vehicle.
2011 Chevy Camaro Superbowl Commercial
This one is pretty entertaining and a good looking car...
Mercedes Benz announced yesterday they wear going to manufacture the SLS AMG E-CELL and they showed it off at the North American Auto Show. In this video we David Coulthard takes us for a spin in the amazing new Mercedes!!!
I would not be surprised, if in the next 10 years, all new cars will be electric–and there are so many advantages to electric!!! First, of course, is the lack of carbon emission, second, the engine is silent so there is no toxic noise pollution. Next is fuel cost savings. It costs much less to run a car on electricity than on gasoline or diesel. Also, you can charge your car in your garage every night or any time you wish, so no more trips to gas stations.
Also, electric cars have way fewer parts, and they require far less maintenance, so there is much more in cost savings, not to mention parts last longer. All in all, comparing a gasoline powered car to an electric car is like comparing an old-fashioned Black and White 19inch Tube Television to a modern Color 55 LCD TV–absolute night and day!!!
The Electric Mercedes SLS uses lithium-ion batteries for power which take advantage of the regenerative braking that actually recharge the battery when the car brakes. Apparently the SLS does 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds.
Mercedes Benz is a partial owner in California based, Tesla Motors, as is Toyota, so you have to wonder what Tesla's input, if any, was in this car?
The Cockpit Of The Mercedes Electric Gullwing
A Perfect Marriage of Sophistication with Simplicity
The Cockpit of the Electric SLS Gullwing is a true minimalist masterpiece as we see from this photo of the extremely simple dashboard.
In this next photo we get a good view of the minimalist interior. Notice the unusually large LCD panel. Very, very cool...especially if it is easy to use and works well. It almost looks like an iPad...

Welcome To Jake's Car World
My name is Jake Ehrlich and I am the editor and publisher of Jake's Car World.
I have an interesting story to share with you. I became fascinated with cars when I was little kid playing with my Hot Wheels. When I was in the third grade, I started drawing Speed Racer's Mach 5 with a pencil and paper. Every time, I would daw the Mach 5, I would try to improve the lines.
When I was fourteen, I fell in love with the 1969 Chevy Camaro, and at the same time, I would go to school everyday, and in class I would sit and draw cars all day long.
When I was 17 I wanted to become an automotive designer, and I was talented at designing cars, but I just could not imaging going to work for an American car company as a designer. This was in the mid 1980s, when American cars were at their all-time worst. This was the generation of cars cars that had evolved from the Gremlin, to the Pinto, into the Chrysler Reliant-K.
I remember thinking at the time, that the only option would have been to learn German, and move to Germany, and I did not want to do so. So I went into clothing design. Years later, I started designing computer hardware, and software, which I still do with my company BulletTrain.
I also blog like crazy, so it made sense to begin Jake's Car World, which I sincerely hope you enjoy.
